I was mesmerized by the morning view of the sunrise from the camp, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the desert. The warmth of the campfire and the twinkling stars above added to the magical atmosphere. The thick bed covers provided much-needed comfort on chilly winter nights.

The location is superb, really quiet and isolated - the sunset, stars and sunrise were all breathtaking. The staff were excellent, really friendly from the moment we booked to the moment we left - nothing was too much trouble. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, delicious and far more than we could eat, and served in a lovely veranda tent with open sides. The tents are very comfortable, set off the ground and well equipped with nice touches like a small seat you can take on to the sand dunes. The owner has considered everything in creating this camp. The rooms, elevated on a metal frame, are cosy and well-insulated with goat hair material to provide complete protection from the chilly, and sometimes windy, desert night air. The little deck area is wonderful for sitting and watching the dunes in the changing light and the stars at night. Having your own toilet and shower is a boon, and having the light permanently on is handy in the pitch black of night if you need to go! Spotless white and heavy duvets keep you snug and having a plug to charge devices was much appreciated. The location is ideal - far enough into the desert to feel away from civilisation, peaceful and doesn’t seem close to any other camps, of which there are many these days, yet only 20 mins at most to drive to. This is an outstanding desert experience. It is the third desert camp we have stayed in and by far the best. The facilities are basic, but clean and very comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent and good value. The accommodation tents are really quite cool, I like the fact they are suspended in height. Bed is comfy, bathroom is just outside the tent and private to each tent which are all a solid 15m away from each other. Fan in each room which we used as it got quite hot in there. Friendly staff and owners. Nice range of activities. Dinner was super tasty and abundant, well done. Breakfast was abundant and more buffet style. Love the swings on top of the dunes. Good value for money compared with other camps.
Felt spoilt, no complaints.

My stay at Oman Desert Private Camp was an unforgettable experience. The location was stunning, with minimal light pollution, allowing for breathtaking views of the starry night sky. The beds were comfortable and the tent was clean. I particularly enjoyed using the folding sleeping pads on the outside deck to stargaze. The camel ride during sunset was a highlight, providing a magical and authentic desert experience. The food provided during lunch and dinner was satisfactory, and the conversations around the fire at night added to the ambiance. I highly recommend Oman Desert Private Camp for anyone seeking a short but authentic desert getaway.
The tent did get quite hot once the sun rose, making it uncomfortable to be inside after 7 am. Additionally, the dinner, although enjoyable, may have been a bit too simple for the high price of the stay.

Ali, our host, was incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. From the thrilling dune bashing to the insightful visit with a Bedouin family, every moment of the day was unforgettable. the camp itself was perfect for relaxation, with its four private tents and peaceful surroundings. We loved capturing incredible photos and immersing ourselves in the tranquility. Cons: Was all great! 😊.

The tents were creatively designed, using wool for durability against the elements. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering convenient 4WD transfers from the parking area to the camp. The meals provided were delicious, and dining with other guests created a pleasant social atmosphere. The overall experience at Oman Desert Private Camp was unforgettable, and I would love to return with friends in the future.

I had an unforgettable experience at a desert camp in Oman. The location was breathtaking, allowing me to witness stunning sunsets and star-filled skies. The tent was cozy and well-constructed, protecting me from wind, sun, and rain. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even offering to pick me up in their 4WD. The meals were delicious, although I wished there were more vegetarian options. Despite feeling somewhat impersonal at times, the camp provided a serene and comfortable stay. I highly recommend this unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
